'Precious' star Gabourey Sidibe shines on the COVER of:
V-MAG,
Jan 2010 edition.
I'm stunned, I'm speechless, my head is spinning! The controvertible, formally-neglected resolution to the much needed cleanse of our usual white-washed, anorexic covers. Clearly, Gabby is in this, to win this. I kept wondering how the press would respond to this full-figured young lady. Well, we're clearly witnessing some chief names in fashion accommodate her stardom quicker then the most of us can digest a milkshake. PRAISE to this honorary publication for owning the inspiration and initiative needed to formulate such a powerful and influential Fashion Series. I'm ready for more! Work it out Gabby.
Lovin it,

YOU ALREADY KNOW I AM EXCITED ABOUT THIS ONE MAN! IDK IF SHE WILL LAST THO, TYLER PERRY MOVIES MAYBE, BUT...IDK
You know, I can see a large scale of the industry saying the same. A new actress such as Gabourey- esp with her having a contrary image, having her marketability being limited to solely "Tyler Perry" type roles, which in this day comes with a stereotype for black actors, versus falling into the more integrated realms of the film industry(i.e, Halle Berry). I'm excited for her cover of V magazine for many, many reasons, but I honestly cant predict a clear future for her either.
